ihc on thursday, i took part in shooting. pistol to be specific. i scored 50 odd points i think. we came in second for i think everything and second overall. yup. no post for a while cos i was not happy.
ptm was today. evidently i have potential. thats good to hear. i also apparently talk too much. i think every teacher has told my parents that at every ptm since like primary one. admittedly its true...
ogl second cut list came out. i made the grade, just about. i'd gotten so used to the weird feeling that i was not going to make the cut that im still digesting the news. now we have to team up in threes. which is going to be a bit of a problem seeing as i dont actually know anyone. i was kind of expecting from the start that they were going to group us. i dont know what to do now, im tempted to wait for the problem to solve itself. i mean if i dont do anything they'll have to allocate me somewhere in the end right.
oh im around 4 races from finishing underground2. and prince of persia doesnt work on my comp cos i dont have a graphics card. not even an intel gma. nothing. which makes me wonder how i can play underground2. i need a better machine argh. speaking of which i also need headphones, something that plays music, powerisers, a bicycle, a car, ...
and i busted my ankle again. for like the 94th time. this time i was just walking in the corridor when it fell open. im pretty sure its never going to be the same again. im holding it with a brace for now but its probably going to fall apart when i take it off.

monday was the first recre gym training since long time back and it was pretty fun, upper body pt. i dont actually train like that so it was quite hardcore. im still aching. kej the veg loaned me prince of persia but for some reason, ive lost administrator privileges on this comp and i cant install. this is a pretty strange comp. it deleted ms paint, and the calculator and notepad functions by itself about a year back...
today we had 4 lectures and one tutorial and no break so i ate my lunch while walking between lt1 and the econs classroom. and then was the talk on stds.

well yes, we are now older than 16 which is the legal age for um... and its no secret that hell lot of people are engaged in wayward extracurricular activities. and theres no doubt that this is a bad thing. so they are trying to inform us that we should take a few things into consideration before trying to do our part to give a boost to the aging population - definitely noble intent.
so the wimpy looking dude takes the stage and starts with some vague introductions. then they show us a video involving a bunch of people who do a bunch of things and all end up with aids. fair enough, now we know a bit about aids and we know that we shouldnt randomly get jiggy with it at night with people that we dont know too well, especially when drinks come into the picture. its not like the people who are into this kind of thing are going to be in the least way affected by all this but lets ignore that for the time being.
in this video one guy does funny things involving a funhouse and a woman of the night. then later he coerces his girlfriend into getting into the night time action sequence with him, and wards off her questions into his past exploits with a smooth one liner. another guy has some four ex girlfriends and goes for his fifth. they go drinking and then do their funny business at night with the girl apparently waking up in the morning and declaring that she hadnt had any intention of bed shaking that night.
and in the middle the guys sticks in an example to show how stds spread. he says something along the lines of "lets say a guy has 3 partners, and each of those girls has one partner and each of those guys has 3 partners each..." well yeah what kind of image does that invoke?
all through this the girls sitting around me are whispering to each other. im hearing things like "how can he do that?", "wow she fell for that", " he tricked her". hey education is fine, but where did the whole thing with portraying the entire male community as a bunch of sex addicted serial rapists come from?
oh at one point the guy says "when you have sex with someone, you're having sex with all their previous partners too." to which theguysittingnexttome's instant response was "does that make it some kind of mass orgy?"
then the pictures. ok so they flash up a bunch of diseased wangs in different states of mutilation to illustrate what happens when you get an std. alright, fair enough as discouragement. then they talk about how to prevent pregnancies, which as far as i can see does not have anything to do with what he came to talk about. and the cherry on top, he starts putting up a series of pictures on "how to use a condom". with a woman sticking one on a distinctly anatomically correct dong. i mean where does that come into the picture? as far as i could tell he was just playing out his weird fantasies with his slideshow and enjoying himself as we squirmed.
i could about sum it up by saying that the talk was an assault on our sensibilities by a weird man teaching us about our genitals. i found it an annoying and particularly uncomfortable waste of time.

yay widebody unlocked, and carbon kit conversion too. i redid the look, now my celica has a carbon hood, carbon trunk, carbon kit (which includes the doors for some reason), carbon spoiler, carbon roof scoops, the only white bits left are the roof and pillars. nowhere near as slick as my previous look, but now it weighs about as much as a cd case and sticks like glue around the corners. very nice. the thing is, it also flies if i hit anything. i discovered that my 350z is an insane drift car. who knew...
ihc coming up next week. im in for frisbee and shooting. and possibly fencing, i don't know. and NOT waterpolo, whew.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee im back. and im so bored. and i have pw op to do now argh ARGH.
so tomorrow shall be OP SPAM DAY. i have this vague feeling that im more than slightly high now, on nothing at all.
im playing as many outrun races as i can find now in nfs u2 cos reliable sources tell me that i need to complete 11 (or is it 13) outruns to unlock widebody kits. and then i will unlock the option to convert body kit to carbon fiber and then I SHALL RULE THE WORLD. ok fine perhaps not but im pretty sure u2 works on physics and i think having a lighter car with a wider wheelbase will give me some sort of advantage.
i just read a whole bunch of books. the last one was equal rites by terry pratchett. insane book. must read. must visit the library again tomorrow and borrow some more. READING! i haven't read anything since how long ago with promos and whatnot... feels good to read for fun.
and im back on fl. although collaboration is somewhat hindered by the fact that we're on opposite ends of the planet, we're going to try to make it work. try being the key word and work being the hopeful future tense...
alright then i'm off. with a vengeance. hm... that didn't sound right.

im going to od on awesome if i continue at this pace.
today was 10S06B day! morning we went to escape theme park. when i left home it had just started drizzling. but well the plan was made, no going back. as it turned out, kaicheng was on the same train as me. when we got out as pasir ris it was dry so we thought it wasnt going to be so bad. but just as the others reached and we started walking towatrd the bus stop, it started raining again. when we reached, they said that everything was closed due to rain, but we could still go in, and if the rain didnt stop in 2 hours, we'd get our money back.
as it turned out, the rain was a blessing in disguise. the first place we went was karting. incidentally, this is the first time in my life that ive driven a self powered vehicle. yes my life is very sad. anyway, i didnt freak out in the first lap. but by the end of three laps my right foot was firmly down and i was pushing the dinky little car as fast as it would go. which i must note is not very fast.
we went for i think eight or nine rounds of three laps each. as we got more confident, the rounds started becoming increasingly epic. at one point when i was climbing the spiral to the top, i looked back and saw meng right on my tail with like 3 inches gap. so right at the top i slammed the brakes with the hope of taking him out and giving myself a bump forward. but i didnt notice that he had dropped like three feet behind and was trying to overtake from the right. he was doing full speed, i was at zero, and the pickup in the karts is fantastically bad, so i did the next logical thing which was to slam him from the side as he overtook. i somehow hit him so hard that his kart ended up on the tirewall with all 4 wheels in the air. win.
the karting track was wet. wet = slippery. slippery = awesome. the last corner is right at the bottom of a slope. towards the end we didnt even bother letting off the gas all the way downhill. the speed at this point is not too bad, so i could actually make the back end slide out towards the end of the turn. i went sideways to the extent that i actually had to countersteer as far as the wheel could turn. that was incredibly fun. and there was also drifting into the starting lane when we were done. although calling it drifting is overstating it a bit.
alright then enough karting. i went on the viking ship thing like 10 times. it was awesome. we took the hardcore seats right at the end of course. it felt like i was going to fall out at the top. at one point i let go of the bar and actually left the seat. pretty cool feeling. on the last round two girls took the hardcore seats so we had to sit one row in front. i was suggesting that we do a silent run, just for the fun of it. i think they overheard us from behind cos they started screaming. and when i say screaming i mean SCREAMING like someone was murdering their families. even before the thing went up to maximum height. i suppose that was their sad idea of a joke.

exams are over and i'm back.
im not doing a promo review here. except that maths was much harder than i expected.
today was fun. i slept at 2am and i had to wake up at 6 for the stupid pw lecture... in the end i got out of the bed at 7 and reached school at 8.10. ten minutes late. and i went by train. thats godlike fast, right there.
of course that wasn't the fun part. the fun part started right after pw lecture, when against all sense and better judgement i went and bought a wangan midnight maximum tune 3dx arcade card. haha. but i must say the game is awesome fun. i took an evo viii as my 1st car. i was also considering the r34 (4 wheel drive and round tail lights win), z32 (370z = epic by default), z30 (old school awesome), and rx8 (rotary, nuff said), but the gamer guy next to me recommended the evo and well i paid the 3 bucks for it, no going back now anyway.
so paul chew and me were setting up a last one on one highway battle just for kicks, the plan was that he use only 5 gears on his 600hp fairlady z while i got to use all 6 on my 400hp evo. then everything died cos the 2 stupid punks sitting on the other 2 machines went and joined our match and hijacked it. and they were running 825hp cars so obviously we stood no chance in hell of winning on the straight highway track. well ok at the end when his friend was winning the race the 2nd punk tried to take paul out with a sideswipe. the funny thing was that the stupid kid didnt recover but paul did. so paul ended up in 2nd place.
and i must mention here that the game music is awesome. like AWESOME. massive techno win
after that lunch at s11.
then hanyang paul and me went to this place called anaki studio in chinatown, where we jammed for 2 hours. that was satisfying. i cant say we were particularly fanstastic, but it was awesome fun. the drumkit there was nice. there was a double bass pedal. and like 4 cymbals not couting the hat. seeing as ive never used a drumkit with more that one crash and one ride and no splash, i didnt see the point of there being so many. but hey i tried them all and it was fun. we played a few songs like um, unsung by helmet. and some other stuff. and we did some random as well. was definitely fun and we're definitely going back again.
thats about as much fun as one day needs i think, if i want to leave any for the rest of the weekend. speaking of which tomorrow is 10S06B day. morning we're going to escape theme park for go karting and whatever else they have at escape theme park. evening is class dinner at some seoul garden place. i dont know if ill go for the dinner though... i dont think ill be able to get anything to eat. still, tomorrow is going to be awesome =)
