this post dedicated to batman misc stuff. may contain spoilers.

1. tumbler. the new tanklike batmobile. appears in the beginning of the movie for the effect. is later used as shield to protect a van carrying harvey dent. against a rocket. i mean admittedly its the tumbler, but it got hit by a rocket and then smashed into a concrete pillar at some insane speed. even the tumbler cant take that. when it finally came to a stop, the computer inside said damage: catastrophic. just before it self-destructed, batman ejected from it in the

2. batpod. this 2 wheeled thing ejects from the batmobile. its kind of a secondary escape vehicle thing. by the way, i dont thinks its mechanically possible for the batpod to fit in the batmobile the way it did. the pod is described as having 2 radial engines, 1 in each wheel, which rotate with the tyres around a fixed axle. the batpod shares these wheels with the tumbler. however, the tumbler, has some huge displacement v8 engine in the back, along with the jet. no mention of radial engines in the wheels. and it was rear wheel drive. also, the tumbler uses different front and back tires, while the pods tires are the same. it doesnt match. well, thats my theory. anyway, the batpod has machine guns and cannons and things to shoot traffic out of the way. it also can raise or lower itself for various purposes, such as looking cool, or whizzing under semis. which is what it does. batman trips up the jokers truck using the pod and a rope. that bit is awesome.

3. the jokers truck. the joker uses a huge semi as his vehicle of choice for the epic chase scene. it says laughter is the best medicine on the side. but the joker, being the joker, spray painted an s in front, so it says slaughter is the best medicine. the joker is in the back, with a machine gun. the swat van that hes shooting at contains harvey dent, who has lied to the public that hes the batman, and a random swat dude. the random swat dude tells dent that the joker needs something bigger to damage the van. it just so happens that the joker realises this at the same time. so he brings out the rocket launcher. then the tumbler does its protecting thing, and gets smashed.

4. the new suit. the suit has all kinds of funky panels and things. bruce wayne says in the beginning of the movie that he needs a lighter suit. so he changes to the new one, which incidentally allows him to move his head. which is something none of the previous batsuits allowed.
