now that my html problems are (mostly) solved, thanks to shreyas, with help from surya and kaushik, i can move on to posting meaningful stuff.
last tuesday was our parkour workshop, organised in the ri gym by han yang, shreyas and myself. everyone who turned up, which was like 20++ ppl, enjoyed themselves thoroughly. except the ever hypocritical am*t cuttil*n, who apparently turned up because he "wanted to disrupt the workshop". but after the instructors made him roll on the floor until he was dizzy, he gave up and went off. thank goodness for that.
everyone learnt something new. now there is high potential for some kind of ri pk community or something to be set up. ppl from sec1 to jc2 turned up, and now all of them are interested.
i must also state that i landed a dam nice backflip on the trampoline at some point during the session, during some water break. i have no idea how i did it, and i havn't been able to do it again. yet. i have managed to more or less figure out my front flip though. i can now land it most of the time. it is noteworthy that all of this has been self taught from scratch. :P
after our session, han yang and me roamed around the school with the instructors. its fantastic gaining new insights on how to move and cross obstacles from experienced traceurs. o ya. this was my first time training with any traceur other than han yang. it was a completely new experience. i have to get in touch with more singapore traceurs. anyone in the outram area?
after tuesday's hardcore training during the workshop, i should have taken a break. but we went and played catching in the gym for like 3hrs during re on wednesday... and on thursday i went to the gym again to do flips on the trampoline. now i can barely move. the only part of me NOT aching is my head. fortunately now i have a 3 day weekend to rest and recover. i should pay more attention to the limits of my endurance... well, as they say, no pain no gain. after lot of pain i should have a lot of gain. i hope.
i'll be back when i have recovered sufficiently.
